The Mango wallet isn't open

The extension keeps no keys of its own — it talks to the Mango wallet app running on this computer, so that app has to be open.

Create a new Chia wallet, or bring one you already have. Either way it takes about a minute and never leaves this browser tab.

What this password protects. It stops this extension acting — no balances, no signatures, no site connections — until you type it. It does not encrypt your keys: those live in the Mango wallet keychain on this machine, and anyone with your computer account can already reach them. Treat it as a screen lock, not a vault.
